What to do after liquid exposure

Switch the phone off if possible and do not connect a charger. Avoid using a hairdryer or applying strong heat, which can spread moisture and damage parts. Rice does not remove contamination left by drinks or salt water. The safest next step is inspection and internal cleaning.

• the phone was dropped in water or exposed to a drink;
