Description
Signs of a worn battery
Battery replacement is most relevant when the phone loses charge much faster than before, shuts down despite showing remaining power, or needs charging several times a day. Heat, poor signal, background apps and damaged charging accessories can produce similar symptoms, so the pattern matters.
Arrange an inspection when:
- battery life has declined steadily over time;
- the phone switches off at an inconsistent percentage;
- charging completes but the battery drains again quickly; or
- the back cover is lifting or the battery appears swollen.
If the case is lifting, stop pressing the cover down and avoid continued charging until the phone is checked.
